Class have been producing tractors since 2003, even though they are actually known for their combine harvesters. The introduction of tractors into their product line was made possible with the acquisition of the majority shares of Renault Agriculture. The company already had experience in manufacturing tractors and from this point on produced them under their own brand name. Claas produced 1000 tractors within the first six months and were quickly on the road to success. In 2006 they introduced the Claas Axion onto the market. This tractor managed to set new standards due to its high performance but especially due to its comfort. Class acquired the remaining shares of Renault Agriculture in 2008 and are now the owners of the tractor manufacturer. This year they also introduced the Claas Axos onto the market. This tractor is aiming to secure the company a high share in the 100PS machine market. In total, Class have five different tractor series. The Axion and Axos, which have already been mentioned, are produced alongside the Xerion, Elios and Nexos series. The two latter series and also the Axos series are aimed at small to middle sized businesses, whilst the high-end Xerion and Axion series are more suitable for big businesses or service supply agencies. The biggest and most powerful Claas tractor which is available at the moment is the Xerion 5000, which has a power output of impressive 524 PS. The smallest model, the Nexos 210, has a power output of 72 PS. Claas tractors do not, however, only impress through their power output. They also stand for the most up-to-date technology and great experience in the production of agricultural machinery. It is possible, for example, to turn the cabin of the Xerion 500 180 degrees in only one minute in order to carry on working in the other direction. Class tractor cabins are generally more than just the run-of-the-mill cabins. They stand out because of their modern design and high level of comfort. The same is to be said of the built-in controls. One can clearly see that that there is a suitable Claas tractor for every farmer and every service supply agency.
